Passing Loops |

It is assumed that the track is being fed power at both ends of this passing loop. As can be seen from the above animation, two (2) single track breaks are required to avoid a short circuit condition. The actual location of the breaks are not important, only that there are two; and that they are on the tracks indicated. The breaks could easily have been at the left side, or even in the center. |
